DAY 1: ARRIVE AT COLOMBO
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free.
The legacy of colonial Colombo’s garden roots are still very much intact along its often-shady boulevards. Colombo’s modern cosmopolitan side supports ever-more stylish eateries, galleries and shops.

DAY 2: COLOMBO – COLOMBO CITY TOUR
Start with a half-day guided tour of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Learn about the city’s rich history dating back to the Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial periods. (Led by Driver-cum-Tour Guide 4 hours @9am)
Admire BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), World Trade Center, Independence Square, Galle Face Green (Ocean promenade), Old Parliament and Viharamahadevi Park.

DAY 3: COLOMBO – SIGIRIYA, SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS EXPERIENCE
This morning we drive to Sigiriya which is located in the heart of the Cultural Triangle. (About 4 hours @9am)
We visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sigiriya Rock built by King Kassapa in the 5th century AD. Today Sigiriya Rock is a treasure trove of rare ancient art. In a pocket of the giant rock are the famous frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya. It is also called the ‘Rock Fortress’ or ‘the Lion Rock’ because of the huge crouching lion that is carved at the entrance to the fortress. This citadel is more than 1,000 ft above the jungles below. (About 4 hours @3pm)

DAY 4: SIGIRIYA CULTURAL SITES
Today, we visit the 2000 year-old Sri Maha Bodhi (one the world’s oldest trees). Ruwanweli Maha Saya is a prominent Buddhist stupa that houses of the Buddha’s relics. Next is the ancient Buddhist Ritigala Monastery on Ritigala Mountain (the highest mountain in northern Sri Lanka).

DAY 5: KANDY | SPICES & GEM OF KANDY
After breakfast we drive to Kandy.
Explore Kandy with your driver-cum-tour guide (4 hours @3pm). Herbs and spices are tasty and yet healthy treats. We visit a spice plantation where you will find cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, coffee and more!
Visit a gem gallery (window shopping for precious stones such as blue sapphire, pink sapphire, ruby and more). Followed by a Kandy cultural show.

DAY 6: KANDY | KANDY CITY TOUR, TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC
After breakfast we explore Kandy city. (Led by Driver-cum-Guide 8 hours @9am)
Visit the Temple of Tooth Relic of Buddha, located in the royal palace complex, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. It is one of Sri Lanka’s eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Next is the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya which spreads over 160 acres of exquisite beauty with more than 4,000 species of flora. This is a haven for nature lovers.
Wander around Kandy Lake. At Kandy View Point you will enjoy an unparalleled view of Kandy city and Kandy Lake.
The Royal Bar is a Kandy institution. This afternoon we relax at the Royal Bar where you can enjoy Sri Lankan style tapas.

DAY 7: KANDY – COLOMBO (CMB)
Enjoy your breakfast, after which the tour ends. We drive back to Colombo for your flight home.
