The Taj Mahal is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love and remains one of India’s most enduring symbols.

Day 5: Agra | Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

After an early breakfast we depart for excursion to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Fatehpur Sikri.  Fatehpur Sikri is former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1585 due to a meager supply of water.
In the afternoon we tour the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind its fortified walls. This is our chance to size up the Itmad-ud-Daula tomb that is a Mughal era mausoleum, often described as a "jewel box" or the "Baby Tāj".  The Itmad-ud-Daula tomb has often been regarded as the inspiration for the Tāj Mahal.

Prepare for the beautiful sunset view of the Taj Mahal as seen from Mehtab Bagh, a century old garden across Yamuna River overlooking the tomb.

Day 6: Agra - Ranthambore | Taj Sunrise, Swai Madhopur

Enjoy a sunrise view of Taj Mahal, breakfast and then drive to Ranthambhore. Lunch in an old mansion at Sawai Madhopur and then continue to Ranthambore National Park.

Days 7 Ranthambore | Game Drives

Enjoy two Game Drives (morning and afternoon) in the Ranthambore National Park. The Park sprawls over an estimated 400 sq. km (150 sq. miles). Steep crags embrace a network of lakes and rivers, and on top of one of these hills is the impressive Ranthambhore Fort, built in the 8th century. The national park is peppered with the battlements and spillovers of the Ranthambhore Fort - tigers are said to frequent these ruins! The tigers can be spotted quite often, even during the day. With the strict measures that have been taken for their conservation, the tigers seem quite accustomed to human activity and take the visitors in stride. For its relatively small area, the park has a rich diversity of fauna and flora.

Day 8: Ranthambore - Jaipur | Talabgaon Castle

Morning Yoga session and then breakfast, journey to Jaipur with a lunch stop at the Talabgaon Castle in Dausa and catch a glimpse of the real royalty of the British Rajasthan where you not only experience traditional warm hospitality but also take pleasure in all the modern-day amenities.

Day 9: Jaipur | Amber Fort | Hawa Mahal

Morning Yoga session and then breakfast.  We travel to the stunning 16th century Amber Fort - a sprawling Rajput construction, perched on a hillside overlooking the dusty plains below, regal palaces, sleepy villages, and stone carved temples.  Reaching its summit on an elephant (or jeep, your choice), we enjoy a tour of the fort's well-preserved interior grounds. Continue to Sheesh Mahal, "Palace of Mirrors" which takes its name from the reflective glass tiles that embellish the interior.  And then to Hawa Mahal, a palace so named because it was essentially a high screen wall built so the women of the royal household could observe street festivals while remaining unseen from the outside.
Visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar - an old yet cleverly designed space observatory.  Later we have a Cooking Demonstration with local flavors & style followed by dinner.
  Breakfast     Lunch    Cooking Demo Dinner

Day 10: Jaipur | Choki Dhani

We visit a cotton weaving house to see a demonstration of fabric dyeing and block printing. Later we visit Chokhi Dhani, meaning “special village”, a mock Rajasthani village. There are open-air restaurants, where you can enjoy tasty Rajasthani thali cusine for dinner, with a bevy of traditional entertainment – dancers, acrobats, snack stalls.
  Breakfast     Lunch    Dinner

Day 11:Jaipur - Delhi | Chand Baori

Traveling to Delhi we stop in the village of Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, which is the largest and deepest step well in the world. This incredible well has a staggering 3,500 steps and is 13 stories deep.  The tour ends and you reach Delhi International airport by 5pm.  You are advised to schedule your departure flight for 8 pm or later to provide an ample buffer.
